The company has its own network of 16 grain and oilseed storage capacities in 7 counties, Prutul being one of the largest storage capacity companies in our country. The total storage capacity in the silos and bases operated is 430,000 tons.

Prutul is one of the main promoters of the High Oleic sunflower crop, providing to the Romanian farmers an internal market increasing their product value throughout the whole supply chain, from farmers to final consumers.

In 2018 the company launched the High Oleic Club, a unique organization in the agribusiness industry, which is the professional link between farmers cultivating High Oleic sunflower and a processor – the Prutul Company.

Prutul is one of the leading national distributors of seeds, pesticides and fertilizers in our country.

By partnering with the world’s leading suppliers operating in Romania, we offer to farmers a full range of seeds, pesticides and fertilizers that farmers need to set up and maintain profitable crops.

Prutul has 3 regional storage facilities for agricultural inputs in its own silos and bases, distributed at national level.

The transport of inputs to storage facilities and from there to farmers is carried out by car or by rail (especially where it is available near the storage facilities).

We offer farmers technology packages for each type of crop, which ensures a high production efficiency and cost efficiency per hectare, thereby supporting farm performance.

To facilitate the set-up and then the protection of agricultural crops, we offer the following payment options:

  • full payment on purchase of products, on advantageous price terms
  • payment on harvest, payment in cash and/or compensation with agricultural products

We provide to farmers a quality diesel, from the most important suppliers present in Romania and ensure prompt delivery directly to farms.

We also offer diesel storage solutions – facilities usually between 3,000-9,000 liters and even larger, at the request of our customers.

For the diesel we sell we offer various advantageous payment methods.

Through our commercial teams distributed nationally, we purchase directly all types of agricultural products (cereals and oilseed crops).

The raw material used by the Prutul factory in the vegetable oil production comes mainly from Romanian farmers.

Since 2014, Prutul has provided Romanian farmers with an internal market for High Oleic sunflower crop.

Our commercial teams ensure both the purchase of cereals and oilseed crops and their transport from the field to storage facilities.

The transport shall be carried out by trucks which comply with the standards necessary for food safety for the goods transported.

We store and condition all types of cereals and oilseed crops in our own network of silos and bases, equipped with modern means of quantitative and qualitative reception of products and their conditioning (taration, drying, aeration, gassing).

The company has a network of 16 silos and grain reception bases, located in 7 of the counties with the highest agricultural potential in our country: Galati, Braila, Calarasi, Ialomița, Iasi, Dolj and Teleorman, with a total capacity of 430,000 tons.

Our bases and silos are equipped with modern technical means of reception, quantitative and qualitative verification of products and their conditioning (taration, drying, aeration, gassing), according to European legislation.
